Philosophy

Tapir Design has taken the tapir as its role model for a few reasons:

1. The tapir is a design classic: 35 million years without change. Classic designs last; designs that change with the time don't always fare as well;
2. Like the tapir, stylish, classic design is severely endangered; and
3. Tapirs can go pretty much anywhere they please: they are fast runners, excellent climbers and strong swimmers. Websites should not be accessible only to able-bodied individuals that have the latest technology on the most common computer platform. The Internet was designed to be accessible to all: its users should be able to go pretty much anywhere they please without restrictions enforced on them by content providers.

Tapir Design not only strives to design and code websites that are stylish and visually pleasing, but they should also be accessible to everybody who wishes to view them.

A further - and more important reason - exists: it is important to give back to the world in which one lives. In this regard, Tapir Design seeks to help its endangered through the donation of 10% of all web service fees received to tapir preservation.
